Dennis Skinner,
Managing Director
Spending
time on street corners and in front of enthusiastic crowds, singing
tenor in a five-man a cappella group for 14 years, might have shaped
Dennis’ values as much as his 23-year career as a leader at Intel
Corporation. It’s an experience that taught him the power of harmony
- many voices combining to produce a single, resonating sound that
is way more than the sum of its parts. So, maybe it’s not surprising
that a self-described harmony junkie would realize one day that
facilitation was more than just something he did on a few good days
as a senior manager. It was what he was meant to do – the first time
since becoming a father that he experienced that rare confluence of “what I’m really good at” and “what I really love doing”.
So, for the last 6 years, Dennis has dedicated his professional
life, and much of his personal life, to helping others achieve
breakthrough results through group facilitation. He has honed his
skills leading a team of dedicated facilitators at Intel and now as
a consultant to other companies. Over the years, he has built a
repertoire of proven, repeatable processes for strategic planning,
problem solving, decision making, organization design, process
improvement, and project acceleration. Dennis’ enthusiasm, optimism,
process-orientation, detailed preparation, and relentless focus on
tangible results have led to
his reputation as a superb facilitator.
Before becoming a facilitator, Dennis spent his career at Intel
leading organizations in Manufacturing, Product Planning, Corporate
Security, Internet Marketing, and Information Technology. He
received a BSE in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State
University in 1984. Less than a year later, he married his college
sweetheart, Janine. They reside in Phoenix, AZ where they live in
relative harmony with their son Jordan, and identical twin
daughters, Ashton and Sammy.
